Organization Overview
Southwest Health EMS is licensed as a Paramedic with Critical Care Endorsement service and provides 911 services, intercept services and interfacility services. Our primary 911 area is 168 square miles in Southwest Wisconsin comprised of the Cities of Platteville and Cuba City and all or portions of the Towns of Platteville, Lima, Ellenboro, Harrison, Smelser, Elk Grove and Belmont. We provide paramedic intercepts to surrounding EMT and AEMT services and provide interfacility transports for hospitals in Southwest Wisconsin, Eastern Iowa and Northwestern Illinois.
We are a full-time career hospital based department located in Platteville, WI. We currently have five ambulances and staff two ambulances 24/7. When both staffed ambulances are on calls, we go to an all call system to staff the other ambulances.
